Rule of law vs rule of love

I have become quite sceptical about the possibility that the rule of law by itself can lead us to a just and humane society. It is necessary, but not sufficient at all. Pursuit of justice with the help of law, jurisprudence, courts and disputes can easily become a maze. And a maze is not the best way out of a difficult situation. Instead of the rule of law, our aim should be rule of love.
